"NKMZ" was officially commissioned in September, 1934.

Since then, 102 rolling mills, 189 hot-metal torpedo cars, 45 stamping hammers, 20 blast furnace charging cone and bowl facing plants, 142 presses of various applications and forces, 17 hot-metal transfer ladle slugging machines, 103 horizontal forging machines, 2002 draglines, over 2000 mine winders, about 3000 ore crushers and coal-pulverizing mills, 18 bucket-wheel excavating and mining complexes were designed and manufactured. Our enterprise is the largest supplier of the mill rolls, unique castings and forgings, etc.

Powerful production, research and experimental facilities, advanced technologies and experienced personnel enable the staff of the company to construct complete plants of high quality within the shortest possible time and to maintain their operating capacity over a long period of time. Since 1994 the quality system covering the whole production life cycle from marketing and market research to the products utilization and from research activities to service maintenance has been developed, introduced and certified In the company.

Since 1994 the quality management system has been developed, introduced and certificated at the enterprise. It covers the whole production life cycle: from marketing research to its recycling, from scientific investigations to after-sales service. The quality management system (QMS) guarantees manufacture of high-quality products. The enterprise QMS meets the requirements of International Standard EN ISO 9001:2008 that has been confirmed by the certificate in the system TUV International Certification (TIC), issued by the international certification body TUV Thuringen (Germany) and by the certificate of National Certification Authority Research and Development Center “STANKOSERT” (Ukraine). Classification societies such as GL (Germany), DNV (Norway) issued the certificates to metallurgical production unit of the company for the production of forgings and castings for shipbuilding industry. The company obtained the certificates of conformity and licenses for specified types of products that are subject to compulsory certification. Achievement of the objectives in the field of the products quality is proved by the fact that "NKMZ" has been recognized as a world-class company.

This is testified by the repeated awards of "Platinum Marks - quality marks of the XXI-st century" for the products of the company as the best supplier of the Russian market, regional marks of distinction such as and for high progress in export, for quality and competitiveness of the products and services. NKMZ is laureate and winner of the Ukrainian national quality contests, holder of European certificate on the model of European Foundation for Quality Management.

"Almalyk MMC"is one of the largest mining - metallurgical enterprises in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Production facilities of the plant are based on the stocks of porphyry copper, lead-zinc and gold-silver deposits, located on the territory of Tashkent, Jizzakh, Namangan region of Uzbekistan.

The structure of the plant are: eight mining companies, four processing plants, two metallurgical plant, sulfuric acid production, mechanical repair and lime plants, motor control with four vehicle maintenance, management of railway transport, the control for the production of consumer goods, as well as more than twenty-auxiliary workshops.

Designed for many years Mining and Metallurgical Combinat (NMMC) industrial and economic activity is directed on maintenance of steady growth of economic potential and social stability of the Republic of Uzbekistan by means of further increase of raw mineral resources efficiency, increase of highly liquid production and intensive development of new manners of manufacture. Gold and uranium form the basis NMMC activity as an industrial enterprise is founded on. Besides the Combinat develops deposits of phosphorites, common salt, facing stone (gabbro, granite, marble), sand for mortar and foundry, chalkstone. The Combinat being a multi-industry mining and processing company, nevertheless, pays main attention to gold production that assists strengthening of economic power of Uzbekistan.

NMMC structure is comprised of five major mining and metallurgical enterprises (Navoi, Uchkuduk, Zarafshan, Nurabad, Zafarabad cities were built on their bases), as well as “Navoi Machine Building Plant” Production Association and Zarafshan Construction Management; the Combinat activity covers four regions in the republic. All the above cities are on balance of the Combinat and are connected among themselves with roads and railways, power lines included in the integrated power grid of the republic. Moreover they have independent lifesupport systems, including district heating and water supply, modern housing facilities, objects of social sphere. The Combinat has kept its economic relations and gained recognition in the CIS countries and in the world business community.

Kazzinc - is a major fully integrated zinc producer with considerable copper, precious metals and lead credits. The company’s core operations are in Kazakhstan, mainly in East-Kazakhstan Region. It employs over 22'000 people in mining, ore dressing, metallurgy, power generation and mechanical production.

The company was established in 1997 through the merger of Eastern Kazakhstan's three main non-ferrous metals companies - "Ust-Kamenogorsk Lead and Zinc Combinate", "Leninogorsk Polymetallic Combinate" and "Zyrianovsk Lead Combinate". All three producers were majority-owned by the Government of Kazakhstan, which also included the Bukhtarma Hydroelectric Power Station into the new company under a long-term concession to improve its appeal to potential investors. The controlling block of shares in Kazzinc has since been sold off by the State to the private sector, with Glencore International AG of Switzerland becoming the company's main investor.

In the years since its creation, Kazzinc has significantly increased production capacity and output on all fronts. The company continues to develop seeking to have its stable position among the world's five lowest cost zinc producers.

In 2004 Kazzinc was certified under the ISO 9000-2000 Quality Management Standard. In 2006 Kazzinc introduced the integrated quality management system comprising quality, environment, occupational safety and health management pursuant to the requirements of the ISO:14000 international standards and OHSAS: 18000 certificates.
